Monthly Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Wish List in a Year
Spotlight for March: “Wow!” Items (Flat basketball/soccer balls with pump, baby dolls 6” or less, Barbie dolls with accessories, playsets (play kitchen sets, Lego sets), stuffed animals 6” or smaller, small tools or tool kits, beads for jewelry making, “higher quality” jump ropes.)
Every month we are collecting donations of $10 per box, as well. You may use the pew envelopes and label it “OCC donation”, or “OCC general.” Thank you for considering giving to this mission.
Saturday Morning Lenten Devotions
Once again, this year, as we have done for numerous years, we will share in Saturday morning breakfast and devotions during Lent. This will start February 21 and run for six weeks ending March 28, Palm Sunday weekend. We will start at 8:00am and be done by about 9:00am. We will meet in Fellowship Hall. We will have a continental type breakfast consisting of pastries or baked goods, fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea. There will be no cost to attend. All are welcome. We will use the study “Final Words from the Cross” by Adam Hamilton. Hamilton uses the seven traditional statements Jesus made from the cross and offers a reflection on each one during the weeks of Lent.

Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to kick off the season? Our church is hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt, and you’re invited!
It’s going to be a high-energy afternoon packed with activities for children of all ages. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 2:00 for some fun and food before the big hunt! This is a free community event, so bring your neighbors, your friends, and your favorite Easter basket. We can’t wait to see you there!
When: Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 PM Rain or Shine
Where: St. John’s-Newberry UMC; 2101 Newberry Street
What’s in Store?
The Big Egg Hunt: Grab your baskets! We have plenty of eggs hidden and waiting to be found.
Creative Crafts: A dedicated station for kids to get hands-on and make something special.
Puppet Show: Enjoy a lively, entertaining performance that’s sure to bring out smiles.
Hot Dog Social: We’ll be making hot dogs for everyone to enjoy—the perfect way to refuel after the hunt!
